Wolfe's Story

If you want to learn about Wolfe and his history along with verse specific history, scroll down to read up on it!

Early Life

Wolfe grew up in a life of semi-nobility in a small town just outside of the Galahan Kingdom. He had 3 siblings (2 brothers and a sister that are alive) along with his father that was a general of the military for the kingdom and his mother that was a florist in the town. Wolfe was born as a wolf/hellhound hybrid (Father was a hellhound of the Ulfheomer Elite while mother was a grey wolf.) Wolfe and his family grew up quite happily though his father was KIA during an invasion battle during war times. His mother took great care of the family after his father passed and lived to die of old age. Wolfe was always curious and adventurous wanting to be like his father growing up. Inheriting his fathers traits as a hellhound, he was very mischievous and a bit of a trouble maker throughout his kid to teen years.

Early Adult Life

Wolfe was drafted into the military during the final years of the Great War, selected for the elite special operations unit—not only for his exceptional skill and instinct, but also to carry the weight of his father's legacy. He endured grueling training and officer school, emerging as a Captain in command of a small but formidable squadron.Though he held rank, Wolfe was no desk-bound officer. He routinely volunteered for high-risk missions behind enemy lines, where his cunning and precision became legend. But during one operation, his squad was ambushed. Stranded alone for a month in hostile territory, Wolfe pressed on, completing the mission against impossible odds.Instead of a hero’s welcome, he returned to whispers of treason and abandonment. Accused and nearly condemned, he defended himself with irrefutable proof, clearing his name—but not his disillusionment. Disgusted by the politics of the military he once served with pride, Wolfe walked away.He found a new path among mercenaries—an independent group that thrived in the shadows, handling the “dirty work” others wouldn’t touch. At first, he was cold, efficient, and emotionally distant. But over time, the bonds he formed began to thaw the walls he'd built. He rediscovered pieces of himself—the mischief, the charm, the joy—and for the first time in years, Wolfe felt something he hadn't in a long time: at peace.

Current Day

Wolfe now works between hell and the surface world bring unyielding souls and demons that wish to terrorize the mortals back to hell for further judgement. He has a home on the surface and does more government contract work after the mercenary group agreed with the government to do contracting since it showed more profit. Compared to his military days, he is quite kind, playful and mischievous. If he likes you enough, he will let you pet him.

Misc Info

Wolfe is quite built from his days in the military. Though he stands at 5'10", his physique is a fine balance of muscle and lean with distinctive abs and muscles when cloths off (as shown below. Credit to Dylarts for reference image).
His abilities range from using hellfire and controlling shadows. On rare occasions, he can also manipulate his surrounds as a hallucination (giving him his callsign "Albtraum" aka Nightmare for his strategies of psychological warfare.) On even rarer occasions, he does shift to a female form that he can use for undercover ops (or if you are lucky, used for a lil extra fun). He also has a human form (one in general which art credit goes to @telsonknife and one I use for Genshin interactions.)

Verse Specific

-ZZZ: Wolfe arrived in New Eridu in his late teens, a refugee from one of the many regional cities devastated by a Hollow catastrophe. Like many survivors, he struggled to find his place in the last bastion of humanity, drifting between odd jobs in the lower districts. That was until a PubSec recruitment ad caught his eye—something about restoring order in the chaos spoke to him.He joined PubSec in his early twenties, serving a brief but formative stint. The experience hardened him and gave him a working knowledge of Hollow threats, public security protocols, and urban survival tactics. But Wolfe’s heart was always elsewhere—drawn to the rhythm of strings and the power of voice. After leaving PubSec, he turned his focus to music.A self-taught guitarist and vocalist, Wolfe carved out a niche performing in back-alley bars, neon-lit lounges, and underground venues scattered across New Eridu. Though never a household name, his performances earned a modest following and helped pay the bills. Between gigs, he picks up the occasional Hollow commission or private contract, using his PubSec background to navigate the dangers others avoid. These days, Wolfe lives life on the edge—part-time musician, part-time merc-for-hire. He still works solo for the most part, but beneath his cool exterior is a desire for something more stable—a crew to run with, to rely on. He’s seen what loneliness looks like in the ruins outside the city walls, and he’s not looking to face it again.Update: Wolfe has lost his right arm from a bit above the elbow, down. This lose had caused a lot of mental trauma though the cost ended up saving a friends life from Ether Regression syndrome. After being chased by Exaltist that were after Anais Wheel (Written by REV), Anais started losing control of herself causing her and Wolfe to fight. Midway through the struggle, an Elite-class Ethereal—drawn by the violence—slipped in from the shadows. Wolfe sensed the ambush at the last possible moment, twisting away from its blade. He avoided a fatal strike… but not the price. Its blade bit through his arm in a flash of pain and light, severing it clean. Fortunately, once escaped, Anais took him to the hospital for treatment. Working for Belabog, she went to Grace to have a prosthetic for Wolfe. The days that followed were a blur of pain, stubborn will, and the slow, frustrating process of adapting to a new arm. Weeks later, he could control it—partly. Yet every so often, in the quiet moments, he still felt the phantom ache… and remembered what it had cost to save someone he cared about.-Genshin: Wolfe isn’t Natlan-born—but you wouldn’t know it from how seamlessly he’s woven himself into its fiery, spirited culture. A nomad by origin, he arrived in the region seeking peace and purpose, carrying only his instincts and a strange affinity for the shadows. While most in Natlan burn bright and loud with their passions, Wolfe walks the quieter paths—moving unseen, unnoticed, and unbothered. Now, he works primarily as a merchant shipper, handling delicate and time-sensitive deliveries between Natlan’s inner territories and far-flung regional guilds. His unique ability to bend shadows as a means of swift transportation makes him a highly valued asset in the trade circuits—especially when time, secrecy, or danger are involved. Few can match his speed. Fewer still can trace his steps.Though his Pyro abilities grants him formidable combat prowess, it’s his cunning and control that set him apart. In a land where flame often equals fury, Wolfe burns with a different kind of fire—one tempered, precise, and kept close to the chest. While many in Natlan eventually came to accept him, whispers still linger among the more traditional circles. He’s earned his place, but some eyes remain wary. Wolfe doesn’t seem to mind. He’s used to walking in and out of trust like he does the shadows. He carries secrets—deep ones—locked behind smirks and sidelong glances. Only a rare few know the full story of how he came to Natlan... and why he truly stays.-Helluva/Hazbin: Wolfe formally served under Lucifer's guard before the modernization. Once the modernization happened, he became a hitman per say hunting down unruly demons and souls that terrorized the surface realm. He also ensures the territories between overlords are not overstepping while doing some "dirty work" if the pay is good enough. His reputation is quite lengthy and positive in terms of review. Though compared to other hellhound, he is quite kind.-BNA(Brand New Animal): Wolfe serves as a liaison between the humans Anima City government. On occasion, he will do detective work after doing some work with the Bureau of Investigation. He is respected among coworkers are the bureau, most humans do not.
More will be added as more verses I can see Wolfe fitting into come along.

Verse Specific Abilities in Detail

ZZZ Abilities
-Teleport short distances through shadows (like moving between cover or dodging).
-Limited to shadowed surfaces (can’t blink through fully lit zones).
-Leaves behind a brief shadow “echo” (decoy) that distracts enemies.
-Limitations-
1. Light Sensitivity
-Abilities like shadow movement and cloaking are weakened or nullified in bright areas or under floodlights—makes sense in urban neon-lit New Eridu.
-Forced to rely more on fire skills when shadows aren’t available.
2. Energy Drain
-Shadow manipulation taps into a high-focus mental strain—using too many in succession causes “shadow burnout,” delaying reuse or causing disorientation.
-Fire skills draw from the body’s stamina, heating the body too much with overuse, creating a cooldown vulnerability (maybe even a visual “overheat” effect).
Genshin Abilities
-Shadow manipulation is not elemental, but tied to a forgotten clan, forbidden knowledge, or ancient domain magic—a remnant of Wolfe's old clan. It’s not an element per se, but a discipline—a way of shaping movement, stealth, and perception.
-For elemental, all elemental damage is still Pyro. Shadow techniques only manipulate movement and stealth, not elementally aligned.
-Limitations-
-For shadow travel in his courier work, he can only use shadows to transport to areas he has been to and see shadows cast.
-Lighting plays a part makes transportation more difficult depending on the time of day.
